Challening, fun may not be a multiple use "100 Puzzle Quizzes Book"

Puzzlebook: 100 Puzzle Quizzes is just what it says, a collection of 100 puzzles/mind benders for the Kindle.

Each page of the book is a separate puzzle/mind bender and has multiple choice options that you can select. This approach, if you're lazy and don't want to think about the puzzle, allows you to just click each choice until you find the answer. That defeats the purpose of course, but if the multiple choice option didn't exist you'd have to figure out the puzzle on your own which would potentially require a scratch pad. Of course, the multiple choice options also allow you to get an idea on how to solve a puzzle, which means it may make things easier that way as well.

The puzzles all follow similar methods for solutions. What I mean by this is that in one puzzle you have to decide what line is the longest line as it winds its way around different shapes. Every bunch of puzzles, you will have a similar puzzle with different shapes. This pattern repeats throughout, which is good as this helps build on the things you solve early on.

I enjoyed the puzzles a lot in this book, and openly admit that on 2 or 3 of the harder puzzles I just "guessed" my way through them. The challenges are rewarding. My only concern is the "replayability" of the puzzles as they will always be the same 100 puzzles. Of course, for $3 this isn't too bad, as I've paid more for crossword puzzle books I've spent far less time with.

I had high hopes for this, but it will not work on the kindle app on my Toshiba Thrive. Disappointing.

Recommended.
