Getting your hands on ITEC sample theory papers may prove very difficult as ITEC do not permit colleges to hand out past papers for revision. As a result a lot of students report that they do not feel prepared for the exam because they do not know the type of questions that could come up in the exam and nor are they familiar with the layout of the paper.
I have been teaching for years and know that both of these issues are quite serious in determining whether a student will fail or pass an exam.
I have found, when starting revision for exams, the most successful way to prepare for exam success is to constantly test students on the areas they are learning.
First of all I would recommend to my students to find a study guide that contains a large number of multiple choice questions similar to those found on ITEC's theory papers. It is also a good idea to have a variety of crossword puzzles as these are a fantastic way to quiz yourself. They also make learning fun which is a bonus for any student.
At the beginning of every class I give my students a written test using these multiple choice questions. We grade them straight away so the student is then aware of any work they need to go over again. I finish up the class with about 20 minutes remaining and get my students to complete crossword puzzles on the work we have just covered.
Using these methods means that once the end of the year arrives and it is time for revision, the student has a folder full of tests and crossword puzzles.

Anatomy and Physiology study can be very difficult. Once the dreaded end of year exams draw closer students start to feel completely overwhelmed with the amount of work they have to revise.
For the most part this tough subject is broken down into 12 body systems;
Cells and Tissues Skin Muscular System Skeletal System Endocrine Nervous Lymphatic Cardiovascular Digestive Respiratory Urinary Reproductive
Terms, functions, diseases, disorders, definitions....these are examples of the type of things students need to cover on each of these body systems. Therefore it is perfectly understandable how students become so overwhelmed. This being said, passing your Anatomy and Physiology exams is definitely not impossible.
Some tips I would recommend you follow include;
1. Have a question bank that you can use throughout your studies. The best format of questions to use for your revision is multiple choice. The idea would be to take a number of questions every day, about 30, and learn them. After about 3 or 4 days test yourself on what you have learned. This is a great way to see what questions you need to learn again.
2. Anatomy and Physiology quizzes and puzzles are a great way to learn this tough subject. They are good fun too! Examples of the best puzzles include crosswords and true/false questions. Your knowledge of the body systems will definitely improve if you repeat these puzzles over and over again. You should aim to complete the puzzles without using your notes.
3. Have an organised revision plan typed out. Plan exactly what area you are revising and on what dates. Once you have a structured plan in place you will be able to see what work you need to cover. Type your plan out, print it and put it on the wall in front of your desk.
There is a lot of work involved with Anatomy and Physiology study but try not to panic too much. Once you have a structured plan and a good study guide you will find that passing your exams will not be impossible.

Anatomy and Physiology Exams - Tips on How to Pass Successfully
In order to pass your Anatomy and Physiology exams it is very important that you have an understanding of the body's structures and how they function. It may not be as difficult as it first appears. As long as you are equipped with the right information it can become a less worrying, anxious time.
The following are some tips that will help you to pass your Anatomy and Physiology exams;
1. Have an organized and structured revision plan. Before you start revising you need to write out your plan and date it. This is very important. Once you have a plan written out in front of you, the amount of work you need to cover may not be as overwhelming. An example of a plan could be:

2. Have a set of multiple choice questions to test yourself. Multiple choice questions are an ideal way to learn this difficult subject. There should be one question with four possible answers and only one answer must be chosen. As a result, there is no room for error.
3. Write out your multiple choice questions on record cards. Revision cards are great because they are small enough to carry around with your during the day. Take about 20-30 questions daily and write these out on the cards. Whether you are on the train going to work or in the queue at the bank, take out your questions and learn them over and over.
4. Complete practice quizzes throughout your studies. Puzzles and quizzes are a fantastic way to learn different terms and functions of Anatomy and Physiology. Take the quizzes time and time again until you are confident with the particular area that you are studying.
Having a good Anatomy and Physiology study guide is an essential part to any study plan. If you have that, coupled with your revision plan, you will find that those Anatomy and Physiology exams may not be that daunting after all.
